European Lace of six centuries

July 14th to September 1st

Handmade lace in different techniques from six centuries and some machine lace will be shown. Tere are also designs for handmade and for machine lace, as well as traditional implements.

The Hamburg "Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe" very kindly helped with loans. The German Lace Guild contributes with painted designs by A. Thümler and also with newly made lace from its members.

On the day of the Vernissage, July 14th, from 3 to 6 pm. Gudrun Borck of Langen near Darmstadt will give a short introduction.
